This stimulating lecture is intended to provide clear information about religious-based, cultural events that have been accepted as national holidays. Christmas, Easter, Halloween, St Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve have their roots in Pagan, nature worshipping belief systems yet they are still confused with Christian religious celebrations. Muslims and people of conscience are in need of non-biased, factual definitions of these holidays and practical solutions for the dilemma of those living in Western countries. This discussion opens the door of investigation and provides a basis for understanding these phenomena
