The Signs of the Hypocrites
Based on the Arabic Work Thala Thun Alamah lil-Munafiqin by Shaykh Aa`id `Abdullah al-Qarnee)
When it is said to them: "Do not make mischief on the Earth," they say:
"Why? We only want to make peace." Beware, they are the ones that cause
mischief but they do not realise. [Surah al-Baqarah (2):11-12]
The sign of a believer is that he understands the Religion and is
constantly increasing his knowledge of certain matters and benefits and
he is covetous of all that is good, as well as the gatherings wherein it
is disseminated. The hypocrite, however, completely turns away. When
the people talk in a gathering about matters to do with the Prayer or
worship, it is to him as if they are speaking in a different language.
A useful work in current times when Hypocrisy has made deep roads in the
Muslim Society
